Do I need technical experience?
We'll walk you through your first update during setup. After that, you describe the change, review the preview, and approve it.
Do I need a Claude account?
Yes. You use your own paid Claude account, connected to Marquezee. Anthropic bills you separately for that subscription.
What is Claude?
Claude is an AI assistant developed by Anthropic. You use it on your phone or computer to describe the changes you want on your website, and it prepares them for you to preview. Your Claude account is in your name.
What if a change isn't right?
Every update comes back as a preview first. You can ask for adjustments before you publish, and if a published change needs to be reversed, you can restore the earlier version.
Can I change the design or add pages?
Our team handles design changes and new pages. You can update everyday content yourself, including hours, prices, menus, and photos.
What happens to my booking or ordering system?
Your existing service stays in place. Your Marquezee website links to it or embeds it, depending on the service.
How long does a published change take to appear?
Usually a couple of minutes after you publish it.
Who owns the website?
You do. Your domain stays registered in your name. Should you leave Marquezee, we'll provide a copy of your website and its data, and we delete your account when you ask us to.
What happens to my current website?
We prepare the new version from it, and after the switch your old site stays up alongside the new one for two weeks. We redirect your old page addresses to the matching new pages.
What happens to my email?
Your email stays where it is during the move. If your email is hosted by your current web host, we move it first, before the website moves.
Can my team make changes too?
Yes, on the Team plan. You add people and give each a role: an editor can make and publish changes, and a contributor can propose changes for an owner or editor to publish. You receive an email when someone else publishes, and you can see who changed what.
Is the website accessible?
Every website is built to WCAG 2.2, level AA, the standard used for the ADA, and checked again when it changes. It has its own Privacy page and Accessibility statement.
What does it cost?
The standard plan is $199/month, with a one-time setup fee of $499. Founding customers get free setup and $50/month for the first year, and keep that rate for as long as they stay on the plan. Is there a referral program?
Yes. Every business on Marquezee has a referral code and link on its billing page. When a business you refer starts its plan and pays its first month, you both get a month of hosting free, taken off your next invoice. There's no limit to how many businesses you can refer.
I build websites for clients. Can I use Marquezee?
Yes. Developers and agencies pay $99 per website, per month, with setup included, and manage their clients' websites from one account. The plan starts at three websites ($297/month), billed whether or not all three are live yet, so it suits someone with several clients. Contact us.
